Advanta has developed a new diagnostic test for the virus that causes COVID-19 (referred to as SARS-CoV-2). This test uses NGS to detect the virus quickly and with high sensitivity.
By using a molecular syndromic approach and a broad test menu, we can better detect and identify the infectious agent with just one easy diagnostic test. Advanta's infectious disease testing increases the probability of identifying a pathogen in patients with symptoms of an infectious disease and increases the capability of detection of co-infections.
Read MoreMolecular diagnostics is a broad term describing a class of diagnostic tests that assess a person's health literally at a molecular level, detecting and measuring specific genetic sequences in deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) or ribonucleic acid (RNA) or the proteins they express.
